Or better yet vote early. In my state, Louisiana, early voting has started and goes from 10/21 to 10/28 (except 10/26). As you can see below I am supporting Mary Landrieu for the Senate. She has done a lot to help the state, bringing more jobs and Federal money to help us out here. She also wants to get more revenue sharing from oil money. Louisiana has one of the poorest revenue sharing plans, with the Feds getting a much larger share than other states. As chair of the Energy Committee Mary would be in a good position to make this happen. She also supports rasing the minimum wage, providing equal pay for equal work for women, protecting Spocial Security, and bringing expanded Medicaid money to the stete. Her opponent is against all these things but they will certainly help our state.
Here is a Mary Landrieu sign on our fence. It was quite large and we had to tie it to the roof of our Jeep to get it home. We are going out to canvas some nearby neigborhoods the next few days. I would encourage you to do also speak to friends and neighbors about voting. I did canvasing in New Hampshire for Obama and look forward to speaking with neigbors here.
We had great support in our first day of canvasing. There were many Mary signs. Many people said they would vote for her and some had already done so. Out of over 100 people only one was for her opponent.
