New Orleans has a vast number of free music events. Many of the best known are in the Spring and Fall but Summer also has its share. One of the great ones is Wednesdays on Algiers Point. This year we saw the Iguanas with Alex McMurray. The sunset over the New Orleans skyline provides a nice backdrop and the food vendors were quite delicious. We had a porkchop sandwich and ribs washed down by coconut and cherry snow cones, very nutrious. We rode the Canal Streetcar downtown and then took the ferry over to the event.
