Hope you have a great 2013. The Atchafalya Basin is a huge swamp in Louisiana that might become the future home of the Mississippi River according to some. It is a beautifual place. with several state parks for camping, canoing, and walking. Here are two. First, the Chicot in day time and Lake Fausse Pointe at sunset. We were out in the area for some Cajun and Zydeco daning to live bands on their own turf over the weekend (some posts will follow on this). Now we plan to spend more time at the state parks on future trips.
