Presenting KM Vision Session at KM World 2012

I will be attending KM World again this October in Washington DC. I have made all the DC sessions and many of 16 other sessions, including the first three in Santa Clara. The 16th annual KMWorld Conference will be held on October 17 – 19, 2012 at the Renaissance Washington DC.

This year I am co-leading the session, What’s Your KM Vision?, on Wednesday at 10:15AM. It is part of a track that is designed to promote more conversation. They are discussion stream with a roomful of colleagues at roundtables that focus on a series of topics of interest to KM practitioners. My co-leaders are Stan Garfield, Community Evangelist, Consulting - Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited & Author, Implementing a Successful KM Programme and Kent A Greenes, Founder - Greenes Consulting GWU, CSUN, Army War College, KMPro, TCB.

Our session builds off a SI/KM Forum discussion on February 2012. Stan asked this question to the KM leaders community he leads: “If knowledge management is working really well for an organization, what does it look like, and how does it work? Please reply with your vision for the ideal state, with as much specific detail as possible to avoid high-level generalities.” A lively discussion ensued. This panel shares the highlights of that discussion and the views of each of the panelists and solicits the ideas of the session attendees.

I look forward to joining you for what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of KMWorld. There are some great folks participating, and as with everyone conference, the conversations triggered by the sessions are where the real value lies. It's good to see a conversation begun through SIKM continued at KMWorld, and carried on afterward.
