Images of New Orleans Neighborhoods 2010 Part Eight: Magazine Street East of Jackson Avenue

This is the eighth in a series of images of New Orleans neighborhoods taken in February 2010 the weekend before the Super Bowl victory and two weeks for Mardi Gras. I certainly did not have time to cover them all but this series will provide a glimpse of the city that I hope you will want to visit. 

Magazine Street is a great shopping street full of antique stores, funky boutiques, restaurants, clubs and many other things. My mother used to like to browse the antique stores. It is very long so I divided the images into two sections. This one is closest to downtown. It includes the wonderful breakfast place, Surrey’s Juice Bar and such stores at the Trashy Diva shown below,

You keep adding great photos to this gumbo series of New Orleans neighborhoods. I have to make a list of restaurants, stores, and neighborhoods to check out on my next trip to NOLA. Look forward to the next in the series.
