On the Fast Forward blog, I
posted a six part series on implementing Enterprise 2.0 at the consulting firm,
Booz Allen. It ran in December through the first week in January. I am not
going to repeat the series here but want to share the links for those who might
have missed it. There was a lot of well deserved positive comment on what they
did. I think this is an excellent enterprise 2.0 adoption case with useful lessons
for any firm that wants to move in a similar direction.
In June 2009, Booz Allen was honored with the Open Enterprise 2009 Innovation Award. This award honors work done to
embrace collaborative and transformative enterprise 2.0 tools. In this first
post we will look at the business drivers that led to the implementation of the Hello system and
overview its major components. In future posts we will look at the change
management efforts, the operational and financial impact, the lessons learned,
and plans for enhancements. Walton Smith, Program Manager for Booz Allen’s
information sharing efforts and the lead for the Government 2.0 client
practice, has agreed to be interviewed for this series and his time is
appreciated.

Booz Allen: A consulting firm for strategy and technology. Definitely a good implementation and the study is truer now then it ever was.
