A few days ago this blog passed the 500,000 page view mark. It took almost five years to get there and I know some bloggers do this in a month but it does feel like a milestone. I never thought I would still be blogging five years later when I started in May 2004. Now I do not see stopping.
Last year at about this time I started using Google Analytics. Here are the most popular posts that drove the most visits in the last quarter and last year according to this tool. I tell my blog clients that they are putting up content that will be accessible for as long as they keep the blog available. With this in mind it is useful to supply a mix of posts that include many that will have a long shelf life of relevance.
These stats support this concept, as there is a mix of years in the most popular ones for this blog. I added the year to the title so you can see when I put them up. They are listed in rank order. I added an asterik to the ones on the last quarter list that are also on the list for the past year.
