Value Networks have been around some time and I have written about the approach before, Value Network Analysis Site - Verna Allee, Open Value Networks Resource. It is a form of enterprise analysis that looks at the human and technical resources that work together to form relationships and add value to a product or service. Included in a company’s value network are research, development, design, production, marketing, sales, distribution, and other functions.
The organization has expanded and broadened the services it offers. They now offer a hosted solution to help visualize value networks. It includes a number of value network indicators to help with the analysis. There is also the ability to work collaboratively. It takes data from Excel and displays it is Powerpoint, Word, and Visio. This is a nice component to the analysis process.
