Richard

Hi there,
saw the same moose on the same day - you posted your pics pretty quick! I walked up to this moose first coming down the mountain. I tried to cut through the undergrowth to go around, but picked the wrong side of the trail. Lucky I didn't twist an ankle or worst. Probably got as close as 100 ft from the moose in the process - too close. He looked at me a couple of times, but didn't seem to care I was there. When I got 1/2 way around a crowd of folks showed up and that's when I was most concerned the moose might get nervous from all the attention. Made for an exciting hike!

Richard - Nice to hear from you. I was standing behind a very large tree when I took the close ups. Otherwise I would not have gotten that close. It was funny when he crossed the trail and everyone ran away. Bill
