Recently, I went back to the White Mountains to do some more hiking. See last weekend for the prior trip. Here is a series of photos of the Franconia ridge taken from the Greenleaf Hut run by the Appalachian Mountain Club. Mount Lafayette is on the left and Mount Lincoln is on the right. The hut itself is in the last photo. People are drying out their clothes after the afternoon thunderstorm I hiked up in. You have to go about three miles and about 2500 feet up hill to stay there but the food is worth it, along with the view. The next day the visibility was only a few feet so this was not in sight.
