This is fourth posting on places to eat in Jackson Wyoming. See Updated Index to Cities and Towns with Restaurant Picks, for a listing of the other three. This time I found three new ones worth mentioning.
Chef’s Table – This is primarily a take out place with a few stools but they have wonderful soups, fresh breads, salads, and prepared foods. It is the place to have a quick lunch in Jackson without compromising quality. It is found at 945 W Broadway, Jackson, WY (307) 732-2433
Blu Kitchen – is so new that their web site does not work yet and there are no published reviews. It offers small plates, many are updated take son sushi and sashimi but there is also cerviche, as well as cooked local game dishes. It was wonderful. We had vegetable tempura, assorted sashimi, softshell crab, salad or sreaded zucchini and a nice oil and brown rice sushi roll, and a large chocolate chip cookie made in a small iron skillet. 155 N Glenwood, Jackson, WY (307) 734-1633
Planet Palate serves healthy, organic, and electic breakfasts. The first day we had corn griddle cakes (see below) and then I had a more traditional eggs, potatoes, and bacon the next day (on the right). At night they serve health food Indian. It is also recently opened and is so new there web site is not up yet. Here is a review, Crumbs in my 'Stache: A new taste of the East, in the local paper that talks about how they transform from a bakery to an Indian Restaurant at night. At night it is new age organic Indian, a different genre but excellent. I had banana dumplings in a spicy tomato sauce with brown rice. The naan was made with non-gluten rice flour and the samosas were lighter than those in traditional Indian restaurants but all very good. It is located at 145 N. Glenwood (next to Blu-Kitcehn) (307) 734-0882.
