Yesterday, I wrote about business blog objectives as I have been helping a number of business bloggers get started or enhance their efforts. Somewhat related but a bit different are the types of business blog posts. I came up with the following as a start. What other types of business blog posts have you seen that you find effective?
• Links to news items with your perspective
• Links to research reports with commentary
• Links to other bloggers with a commentary building on what they wrote
• Company or other news items
• Original commentary or perspectives
• Lists of relevant items – e.g. “top tens”
• A series of blog posts covering a topic in more depth
• Interviews with employees, or key market figures
• Commentary on industry events
• Lessons learned
• Customer success stories and/or testimonials
• Questions on topics that you want to attract comments and answers
• Expansion on comments your receive
