A while back I posted on a survey by Doug Cornelius, Future Lawyers Use of Social Networking Tools, that contrasted Facebook and LinkedIn use amongst summer legal associates. Doug has now posted the final results. Doug has now posted the final results.
The highlights are that 77% had a Facebook account and most of them checked Facebook at least once a day. Of those with Facebook accounts, 79% would use Facebook for business purposes.
Only 19% had a LinkedIn account. Only 9% checked LinkedIn weekly, the rest answered rarely.
This is consistent with what others are finding. See The Emergence of Facebook for Business. See Doug’s post, Updated Social Network Site Survey, for the complete results.
