I heard about a SuTree, a new content sharing site on the order of digg. It seems to focus on videos and on lessons. SuTree aims to create “the world's largest index & library of free video/audio lessons, tutorials, lectures & how-to's.” This is noble ambition but they did have some good video lessons on a variety of topics when I looked. If they can get people to believe that posting there will provide increased acces to their own sites, they may succeed. You do end up at the site of the content provider.
Their content is picked by users like many other content sharing sites which is both good and bad. I saw a number of people submiting their own content. Then the content is examined by the SuTree team/community. I assume that examination means the user ratings and not a personal review of everything by the core team. If you join up you can add links, add lessons, comment, rate stuff, etc. I liked their cooking lessons and plan to try some. Thanks to Hylton Jolliffe for passing this on. web 2.0
