I have written a bit on food blogs and the rise of blogs in traditional media. The Boston Globe now has its own food blog, Dishing. It is written by Alison Arnett, the Globe's restaurant critic, Sheryl Julian, editor of the Globe's Food section and coauthor of the Globe Magazine's cooking column, and Devra First, a writer for the Globe's Sauce and Cheap Eats columns. The content seems good and more informal than the regular Globe food articles.
It began August 13, at least that what the archives suggest. The site invites feedback through email but they don’t offer comments. There is RSS. So they only want the content distribution to be public. This is not the way to create a community but it is another channel for communication. So I sent them an email asking why no comments.
Hi,
I was wondering if you have any interesting in swapping URL's to post on each other's blog sites?
Thanks,
Tammy
