I am actually in Paris as you read this. I got some new restaurant suggestions from a rusted source. I first wrote about good place here in 2004, Paris Restaurants: A Local’s Favorite and then later the same year, When you go to Paris... from Frenchguys.com, Here are the new ones in the words of my source.
L’impasse
Located on Impasse Guermenee near the Bastille in the 4th arrondisement, this little restaurant is a family run, traditional French restaurant that is only moderately expensive. It is a short walk off Rue St. Antoine near the Bastille. It is around the corner from the Place des Voges, a wonderful stroll. 4, Impasse Guéménée, For reservations, call 01 42 72 08 45.:
Le Grizzli
This restaurant is more of a bistro near the Chatelet/Le Halle area. It is great for watching all the people who hang out in this area day and night. Located on 7, Rue St. Martin in the 4th arrondisement, call for reservations at: 0148 87 77 56.
Leon de Bruxelles
This is a chain restaurant that looks like an Olive Garden. It serves some of the best beer in Paris and features mussels served more ways than ever thought possible. It is cheap and is all you can eat. Yum! There is one branch on Rue Rambeteau near Le Halles and another at San Germain des Press near the Odeon.
