I will be speaking on “What do Blogs Bring to Knowledge Management and Communication within the Enterprise?” at the November meeting of Boston KM Forum. The meeting will be held at Jarg, located at 330 Bear Hill Road in Waltham, MA on Thursday, November 17, 2005 from 4 to 6 pm. This session summarizes the insights gained from the 70 interviews I conducted with successful bloggers for our book, Business Blogs: A Practical Guide, and addresses the use of blogs for knowledge management, as well as internal communication and collaboration. Details and reservations are available at the Boston KM Forum site.
The Boston KM Forum is a Community of Practice for people working in the field of Knowledge Management. It supports the exchange of ideas, best practices, business opportunities, learning communication, and networking in the areas of: Best Practices Collaboration, Communities of Practice, Innovation, Content Management, Learning, and Change Management. I have attended a number of their sessions and always found them very useful. I was at the October speaker where Dorothy Leonard from the Harvard Business School discussed ideas from her latest book, Deep Smarts.
I'd be interested to see your presentation ;-) I will be organizing a reunion on business blogs at CoP-1 (http://www.cop-1.net), which is an equivalent of the Boston KM Forum in Paris, albeit more modest...
