The New York Times reported in Is New York Worth a Trip? Oui, that Michelin has released star rating for New York restaurants. Four places received the three star raking - Alain Ducasse at the Essex House, Jean Georges, Le Bernardin and Per Se. It is interesting that the links in the New York Times article do not link to the restaurants site but the NYT reviews, not wanting you to leave them. I, however, provide real links, so please go away and come back soon. I am sure these three stars are all beyond my budget.
They did list a place for one star that I went to for brunch last spring, The Spotted Pig, and wrote on in Sunday in New York. Too bad Michelin, I saw them first. I had an excellent Frittata with Sweet Potato & Roasted Garlic and Prosciutto on the side. The Spotted Pig is located at 314 W. 11th Street @ Greenwich Street (2120 - 620-0393).
