A recent article in the Wall Street Journal, Net Benefits, discussed how blogs offer a look at life on the front lines of medicine. Go quickly as the link may not last long. The article looks at the ways that “doctors and nurses are joining the blogging revolution, ruminating about medical issues -- and providing a rare window into their world.Their Web logs offer an insider's perspective on a range of important and often contentious issues, from the latest research studies to quality problems in health care. They are aimed primarily at creating dialogue among professionals, but many encourage input from consumers. And some doctors even answer general health-related questions online.”
There was a -list of prominent medical related blogs including the following. The article gives descriptions of each so there is a reason to go there.
DB's Medical Rants
Medpundit
Shrinkette
Blogborygmi
Codeblog -- Tales of a Nurse
A Chance to Cut is a Chance to Cure
Bioethics Discussion Blog
Chronicles of a Medical Mad House
The Cheerful Oncologist
