On Thursday July 14, Amanda Watlington will speak on “How To Have A Nice Little Traffic Jam: Understanding How Search Engines Read Your Blog” at the Berkman Thursday Blog meeting. Amanda will be covering some of the material in Business Blogs: A Practical Guide. She will discuss symbiotic relationship between blogs and search engines. The world's most popular search engine, Google, gives preferential ranking to content that appears in blogs. They seem to like my blgo more than the other search engines and the majority of the new visitors to my blog come from Google as TypePad reports. Google also owns one of the biggest blog services (Blogger/Blogspot). The session will discuss how search engines read your blog and how to get your message out to a broader audience if that is your objective.
Greetings Bill,
