Last weekend I was in New York with some friends. We meet for brunch in the West Village at the Spotted Pig, a nice restaurant near the river. I had an excellent Frittata with Sweet Potato & Roasted Garlic and Prosciutto on the side. The Spotted Pig is located at 314 W. 11th Street @ Greenwich Street (2120 - 620-0393. Afterwards we walked around the street fair on Bleecker Street. They pointed out their favorite dinner place in the area, August at 359 Bleecker (212-929-4774). It is Italian with a large atrium in the back where you can eat under the sky year round. New York Magazine seems to agree with them. We also noticed a lines going around the corner to pick up stuff at the Magnolia Bakery at Bleecker and W. 11th (212) 462-2572. I also found this nice web site that contains the history of buildings on Bleecker Street.
Later that day, we also walked through another street fair by Lincoln Center. It seems to be the thing to do in NYC on a Sunday. Last Fall I did a series on New York restaurants with picks form Robin Atheny.
