I talked Monday with Roland Tanglao, Streamline’s head blogger. Streamline provides blogging services and training, primarily through Blogware, but not limited to that tool. Streamline has sent up a blogging environment for their location, Vancouver, British Columbia. One of its goals is to provide similar services to corporations and non-profit organizations. Much of the initial blogging usage has focused on personal journalism and, by extension, much of the initial business use has been for personal marketing. Streamline wants to promote greater business uses for blogs behind the organizational firewall.
Roland provides a very useful summary of how blogs work and the extensive comments this summary has drawn offer some useful additions.
