I think that blogs will find many uses within organizations and supplement portal and knowledge management efforts. I am starting to collect good articles on blogs and will post more from time to time, along with blogs of others I have found interesting. Here a few for now:
Technofile: Blogging for Business
Anne Stuart Inc.com
Small Business Blogging
Dan Bricklin
Ten Tips for a Better Weblog
Rebecca Blood
also the Groove blog policy
Description of the Harvard Law School Blog Community
Anne Stuart Harvard magazine
I found these two at jackvinson.com, a site with a blog that covers knowledge management and other topics.
Internal Corporate Blogging
Richard McManus
Movable Type for Policies and Procedures
D. Keith Robinson
Another good blog which covers blogs and other technology trends run by Cesar Brea
Here is one I recently discovered run by David French of MyST Technology - Blogs, Portals, and Knowledge Management
Finally, when all this technology gets tiring here is a good blog on movies run by my former Accenture colleague, Don Chartier who is now at SAP working on market development for NetWeaver.
QUESTIONS: I strongly feel there are great business problems lurking out there for blogs to address but this is more intuition on my part at the moment. I started this blog as an experiment to learn more about them. It is already useful for me as a means to keep track of my thoughts and aggregate links to key sources. That is sufficient for me to continue but the promise is a better means for communication, collaboration, and marketing. I am very interested in the experiences of others.
