It is carnival time in New Orleans. The first event is the Phorty Phunny Phollows riding theSt. Charles street car and throwing beads. I went to the send off at the street car barn near my house. Here are a few of the phellows. As you can see there are male and female phellows. They are a spin off from the Rex krewe. It part of a series of local themes that I am painting for the Arts Council art mart on the last Saturday of this month in Palmer Park where I will have a booth.
