I have been going to Cape Cod since the 60s when my parents got a Summer place in Chatham in 1964. Later I ran the Chatham windmill as a Summer job. I have been to most beaches on the Cape but my favorite is the Cahoons Hollow Beach in Wellfleet, MA. It has some of the highest dunes on the Cape and you can walk a few hundred yards away from the entrance and ahve the beah to yourself. there is also a greta seafood place on the beach. Recently I went back there in mid June and for most of the time had the place to myself. Here is what I saw. You can click on images to enlrage them.
We have some mighty fine dunes at the eastern end of Lake Ontario. My favorites were right at Sandy Pond and within a mile or two north as the gull walks. I used to spend quite a bit of time up there in the summers from 1965 to 1968 and your photo's sure brought back the memories.

Mick I also used to go up to these dunes at Sandy Pond when I was in high school 1962-1964 in Syracuse so just a bit before you. Great place and my first exposure to big sand dunes. Bill
