I redid the background for the painting of two cala lilies made from a photograph taken in Mendicino, California and touched up the flowers. here is the first version of the cala lilies.

I like this version best. The darker background really makes the flowers pop ... and yet, the darkness has sort of a subdued effect. I get a feeling that I'm waiting for something when I look at this, but I don't know what.
