Here is a 18" x 24" painting done from life of potatoes, onions, garlic with cumin. After the work as done I cooked the scene.

Wow...way cool. I admire your photorealism. My stuff's typically more surreal, unusually bright-colored. Even when I strive for realism, the oh-so-pretty colors just take over.

Lana - I like the colors in your work. I am still in learning mode so I am trying to capture directly what I see as an exercise. Later I will likely start to make changes. Bill
