Here is an updated version of the still life with apples I posted yesterday. I added more shadow to the apples, put some color in the table cloth and lightened part of the back ground. It is 18" x 24."

This may be premature, since this is in it's early stages. When you've finished, try painting this again using your other hand. I don't say this as a criticism, just that it can be an excellent exercise in letting go of control issues with the brush that can cause stiffness.

Mick - Thanks for the suggestion. I see this whole series as a learning exercise and that is a good next step. Bill
