Sunset Beach North Carolina has a very wide beach that goes the entire lenght of the island. It is located just north of the border with South Carolina. Here are some views of the beach. There wide dunes behind the beach protecting the island as developers were smart to allow for this protection. I cover the dunes in my hext post.

Really amazing pictures, there really is nothing like the beaches in North Carolina! My husband and I stay a few weeks every summer. There is nothing like grabbing the beach carts and coolers at the crack of dawn and spending the entire day on the beach with a good book! Can't for for this summer to start!
