Many homes in New Orleans have tin roofs and ventilator caps such as the one shown below. This is the first in a series of paintings of New Orleans architectural details. Below is a 16" x 20" acrylic painting. I left the canvas blank behind the ventilator cap. It only appears a little yellow because of the light where I took this photo. This painting and most of the ones I show on this blog are for sale, including yesterday's carnival painting.
I have been accepted into the New Orleans Art Council's art mart as a vendor and plan to be showing this and all the New Orleans paintings I am working on there, along with others. They are held the last Saturday of every month with food vendors and live music. I plan to have a booth starting with the February art mart.
