Sharepoint Adds Some Purer Play Partners

A recent survey found that employees are generating a lot of interest in web 2.0 and desire to bring these tools within the enterprise. As recently announced by Microsoft, NewsGator, the RSS [rovider that links with Outlook, and Atlassian, the wiki provider, have joined forces with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Atlassian announced a new set of plug-ins, available, which will enable bidirectional information flow between both collaboration platforms. NewsGator announced the general availability of NewsGator Social Sites-- a collection of site templates, profiles, Web parts and middleware that will enhance the social computing capabilities for SharePoint Server 2007 and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
