More on IBM and Enterprise 2.0

IBM has appeared to embrace enterprise 2.0 as I have written about on several occasions going back to IBM’s Social Software Initiatives: Blogs, Wikis, Tagging, and More – Part Three- Internal Applications posted in November 2005. Here are two new articles in the recent issue of their Systems Journal that illustrate how IBM is embracing enterprise 2.0 The first, A model for CIO-led innovation, that looks at how an organization can implement the principles of enterprise 2.0 to involve more employees in the innovation process. The second, Changing the corporate IT development model: Tapping the power of grassroots computing, that discusses how the presence of mashups can transform application development within the enterprise. I covered them in more detail in the FASTForward blog in CIO-led Collaborative Innovation through Enterprise 2.0 at IBM: A Useful Model and IBM’s use of Mashups: aka Situational Applications.

I recommend taking a look at these two articles. Thanks again to Tomoaki Sawada for pointing to this work.
