I admired the art on the London tube when I lived there in 1995 and found it one of the pleasant aspects of going underground. Here is the collection of London Underground art. It is on online through the London Transport Museum. You can search by artist, themes, dates and see their top ten. I especially liked the Travel into the heart of the shopping centres, by unknown artist, 1908. London 2026 AD; this is all in the air, by Montague B Black, 1926 has a Stars Wars fell. One of my favorite artists, Man Ray, made a contribution in 1938. Then there is the Tate Gallery by tube, by David Booth and Malcolm Fowler and Nancy Fowler and agency Fine White Line, 1986. It is hard to choose. The work is for sale. If only I had the wall space. Thanks to the IF team for pointing it out.
