Newstex wins a Codie Award

The content from this blog is syndicated to Lexis Nexis through Newstex. They also provide content through CanWest. I get monthly reports on the action (e.g., 145 requests in February) and a very small royalty. They just pull content form the blog so you would not see their presence here. The mesasage below was added to the last report.

“At the Software & Information Industry Associations (SIIA) Annual Codie Awards Gala held April 18, 2007 in San Francisco, Newstex together with LexisNexis, won a Codie Award for Best Blog Aggregation Service. Newstex was also named Content Newcomer of the Year. Presented by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the Codie Awards celebrate achievement and vision in software, education technology and digital content. The Codie Awards are the Oscars of the software business, and are voted on in two rounds: first by industry journalists, and then SIIA member companies. I think they provide a useful service as a filter to blog content for organizations. I am pleased that more blog content gets circulated this way.
