Chronicles of Beth
I discovered the blog, Chronicles: The life and resources of Beth, when the writer, Beth Shanke, made some useful comments on my blog. Beth is the Director of Knowledge Management for Aretao, an organization that provides training and other organizational development services. In response to my Digg post she sad that “the website Digg is great, but the podcast Diggnation is even better. The hosts of the podcast (both were on TechTV and one helped start Digg) review the top stories on Digg from the past week while sampling strange beers.” I went to the full interview and found it interesting. Diggnation is one of the most popular podcasts on the iTunes Music Store
She also talked about mashups in response to another post and pointed me to "Helio, a cellphone venture targeted at affluent young people that is to launch this spring, announced an exclusive partnership Thursday with the popular social-networking site MySpace.com... Helio users will be able to do such things as use their phones to take a photo of themselves at a club and post it to MySpace with an invitation to join them. Users will be able to use their phones to post blog entries on MySpace or access their MySpace contacts and photos.”
There will continue to be many mashups in the internet. I think there are also some great possibilities inside the firewall. Last week I discovered some very interesting mashups that IBM is doing within their enterprise space. Some are similar in concept to the Helio one, except for project team members and with locations and Google maps instead. Others cover integration with a variety of their tools for more complex business initiatives. More on this later.
I found some useful posts on her blog, including this SNA Link Round-up. Her post on the Oscars had a link to Rotten Tomatoes which provides you the chance to review movies and see what others are saying, another example of participatory web. There is more.

Looks like ytou found me another feed to read. Thanks!
