This blog offers some of my art and photography. Most items are for sale. It also provides occasional reviews of art events, comments on art and photography on the web, and other related stuff I find to share.
Here is a "24" x 30" acrylic painting of a shrimp po-boy I ate in New Orleans in June. It was served dressed, which means lettuce, tomato, etc. I passed on the pickles.
It has been a while since I have had time to complete a painting. Here is a 24" x 30" acrylic painting from my recent trip to South Africa. It is an order of prawns and chips (fries) at a wonderful seaside restaurant in Hermanus, South Africa, near Cape Town. You can see the dish and the restaurant through the link.
It has been a while since I have had time to complete a painting. So here is the one I am working on. It is an order of prawns and chips (fries) at a wonderful seaside restaurant inHermanus, South Africa, near Cape Town. You can see the dish and the restaurant through the link. I just have to finsih th eprawns and do some general touch up.
I was pleased to recently sell the 24" x 30" painting below through this blog. Most of the others are still available. The person who purchased made a suggestion that I place the head that was peaking out of the covers under the covers. I was fine with this and you can see the results below. I actually think it makes the work more interesting as you can see that someone is under the covers, you just do not see who it is. Here is the original Red Room Dreams.
This is a 16" x 20" acrylic painting of the turpentine container in our studio for those who use oils. This was a quick sketch and there are some ambiguous portions.
