The lake was fresh frozen so you had leaves "floating" on the frozen top and others trapped just below the surface and reflected light. It is almost an expressionist painting and, if a painting, it would look like I manipulated the colors but nature did it.

I like the one with the island in it. I, too, love the look of the fallen leaves on water & also have various pix of such from our own local nature center. They almost look as though a rainbow fell to earth & shattered against the ground.

Lana - The island was home to a family of geese all spring and summer. Ducks occupied the lake itself. They have all left by the time this picture was taken.
